David loves to go outside. Here he is at the front door ready to go. Before the picture he was actually reaching for the door knob. He gets so excited when we go out and often stands at the back glass door looking outside. Once the weather gets warmer I will not be able to keep him inside at all!
David also has a "thing" recently about being able to see whatever is cooking on the stove. Somehow he knows when something is actually cooking instead of just waiting to be washed. He will stand at my leg and cry and cry until I pick him up. Cooking with one hand is awfully hard, especially if a knife is involved, so this is what I came up with. He will sit in this for a really long time before he is ready to get down. Sometimes I give him a stuffed animal to play with. Now I can actually get dinner started before Ryan comes home! (In spite of his expression in the picture, he actually really likes this.)
Per Aunt Melissa's request, more walking. David hardly crawls at all anymore. Amazingly enough, he hasn't hurt himself too much with the walking. Only one big bump against the edge of a plastic food storage bucket. He also likes to push things along the floor, like the laundry/toy basket.

That is just too darn cute! He is always so happy and excited about everything. I'm not too surprised that he wants to supervise any food that looks like it's being prepared. Your food bill is just going to get bigger until he hits 30 and starts slowing down!
Heather when your mom told me about your way of keeping track of David and preparing food I was amazed that more people haven't figured out your solution! Perhaps he will grow up wanting to cook and be a great help. :)
Love the pictures and hope he is feeling much better.
Love you.
