Last week we went to Canada to visit my family. We stopped to visit Jake on the way to my Grandma Pilling's. The first day we went to the Cardston temple and played at the park. The next day we went to Waterton Park - the Canadian half of Glacier Park. The weather held out just good enough for us to go. David really wanted to get in the lake, but the water was freezing cold and the wind was blowing so we didn't let him put more than his hands and feet in. He would have ran in if we would have let him.

The third day we went up to visit Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ron. Again, the weather turned out better than expected so we went across the street and played at their lake. (Calgary has many man-made lake communities within the city.) This time the temperature was a little better and there was sand instead of rocks so we let David play in the water as much as he wanted.

We also went out in a paddle boat. Later in the day we went back over and played at the playground.

The Saturday after we got back Ryan participated in a triathlon - this one was ~1400 feet swim, 12 miles on a bike, and 3.4 mile run. This was his first and he hadn't done any running before he started training for this. He did really great and it was fun watching him.

Have fun visiting the fam. It looks like beautiful place.
Way to go with the triathlon. I can't even spell it.
That is an accomplishment.
Fun trip!!! Go Ryan! We have a triathlon here in town, but it's LONGER! I always get on a team and just do the 6mi. run. That's enough for me!
