Christmas Break

We had a wonderful Christmas break in La Grande. David thoroughly enjoyed the full attention that he was able to have from each of his grandparents and wore each of his grandmas out thoroughly with his endless energy and play. Ryan was able to work a little for his Dad and Rick doing some masonry work. Heather enjoyed a surprise visit from her brother and sister who were not going to make the trip to La Grande after all the snowfall in Portland.

Heather and Ryan's 2nd anniversary was on Dec. 28 and they enjoyed an evening to themselves at Lehman Hot Springs the night before and had the enjoyment of being the only ones in the pool for most of the evening.

We arrived back in Spokane on Thursday and had clear roads most of the way. Driving into Spokane was quite a sight however. Spokane received record breaking snowfall in December totaling 61 1/2 inches. The roads are lined with walls of snow the same as a mountain highway may appear and the snow almost reached the bottom over our bedroom windows.
