Technically, they were estate sales, but they are essentially the same, though one has higher prices than the other. Earlier this week I got a real hankering to go yard saleing so I got on Craigslist and found a couple estate sales in our area. I was really excited to go Friday morning and then Thursday night I realized that Ryan would have the car Friday. (He went snowboarding in Idaho and had a grand old time.) Friday morning was a beautiful sunny day, except that it didn't get over freezing the entire day. If it would have, David and I would have gone for a walk. Then today Ryan took the car to go to the school to work on homework, like he does every Saturday, but he came home during David's naptime so I could go out. I found a couple canning jars at the first one and some sewing books, tons of zippers and a bread pan at the second (at which everything was 1/2 price). By then I had been gone an hour, thoroughly enjoyed myself, and decided to go home. Poor Ryan, David took an incredibly short nap and woke up ten minutes after I left.
This has been a great week. David only gets up once at night now and goes down easy for his nap and bedtime at a consistent time. Tonight dinner was later than normal and it was about fifteen minutes past bathtime - David went the bathroom door and starting banging on it letting us know that he wanted in. That little guy is growing up fast. Only a month left until he is one!
It is amazing how much more I am able to do during the day simply from having consistent good sleep at night. I have been able to keep up on my housework, do a couple things on my "I really should clean this sometime" list, read a book, crochet, yard sales, two blogs in one day, exercise more, and feel more sane. Now if spring would only decide to get here...

I love yard sales, I'm SOO excited for them to start!! That's so fantastic that David is sleeping better at night. And you did an awesome job on his hair - I just cut Jay's hair for the first time (and he's TWO) and I was so scared - and he'll even sit and watch a movie while I do it (with the occasional squirm and whine). So good job!
